With the summer holidays just around the corner there is a long list of activities that you can do with the children that you couldn’t do last year due to lockdown. Thinking of activities to do and keep the children busy for the full six weeks can be quite a daunting task. Fear not… we have provided you with a number of activities that will make sure that you have plenty to do!
At Home Activities
With living in the UK, you always need to have a back-up plan incase the weather takes a turn for the worse. Reworking outside activities into indoor activities are always fun and you have lots of different options:
- Make an indoor obstacle course
- Build a den (using pillows, duvets and sheets)
- Treasure hunt
You also have other relaxed options such as:
- Making sock puppets and putting on a play
- Make an indoor volcano
- Bake a cake
- Make popcorn
There are lots of different things that you can do from the comfort of your home without having to spend money but equally have some fun.
Places To Go
Whether you are planning to nip out for a couple of hours or you are going to make a full day of it or even a short break, there are lots of places to go and explore. Head down to your local town and see how it has changed and evolved over time. Do your family have any images of what the town used to look like? If not, you’ll be able to find them on the internet. Then see if you can find the places in the old pictures and try to photograph them from the same position creating a then and now.
Around every town, village and city there is always lots to see. Whether it be monuments, historical buildings or even just the countryside. Create an exciting day where you visit your local amenities, count how many different types of birds you spot, or if you a near a river or pond see how many different types of wildlife live there.
There is so much to see and do, especially after the last year. If you are looking for more information about our Nanny Training, Vacancies or would like to Contact Us, visit: www.notablenannies.co.uk or call 020 31500670.
