We are searching for a 3-day Nanny to care for two children - a 12-month-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, in Balham, London. This job is to start at the beginning of July and could start with 2 days, increasing to 3 days from mid-September, or could simply start with the full 3 days for the right nanny. The hours are 7.30am-6.00pm on Mondays and Thursdays and 9am–5pm on Fridays (29 hours each week). Ideally, the nanny will be flexible and can stay late from time to time (with plenty of notice) and do some babysitting on occasion.
The nanny will carry out all childcare duties, to include: meal preparation and feeding, reading and playing games with the children, changing nappies, preparing bottles, bath time and story time, taking to groups and activities, trips out to local parks and outdoor activities, play dates, etc. In the household, the nanny would typically be carrying out ‘nursery duties’ - which encompass keeping the children's bedrooms tidy and organised, their laundry and ironing and changing their bedding. In addition, the nanny would endeavour to keep the communal areas tidy and organised, load and unload the dishwasher, and general light housekeeping.
The family are searching for a kind, loving, warm, friendly and nurturing nanny to come in and really enjoying caring for their children. The little girl attends nursery on Mondays and Thursdays so the nanny will be responsible for drop-offs and pick-ups on these days; on Fridays the nanny will have both children. A good cook is essential - to prepare healthy, home cooked meals for the children. An organised, proactive and hardworking nanny would be best suited here; someone happy to be left to their own devices and help with a daily routine, meal plan, and keep the parents informed and up to date on the day's activities. This position will ideally suit someone looking for a long-term role with a lovely household.
The family have a pet dog at home so a pet-friendly nanny is also essential. A driver is not required for this position. There is the opportunity from proxy parenting from time to time, if the nanny would like, and also to travel to the family's countryside home, however, this is not a deal-breaker and the family would be happy for the nanny not to do so if they didn't want to. The salary on offer will be in the region of £14 gross per hour, depending on experience. We are interviewing now for an start at the beginning of July - apply today to be considered!
