Part-Time Nanny (Full time in school hols) (Wimbledon) POSITION FILLED

We have a really lovely family who are looking for a caring nanny to look after their two, easy going boys, aged 18 months and 4 years. The eldest attends school and the youngest attends nursery. Therefore, during term time, the role will consist of after school care and during the school holidays, this will be a full time role. This is a permanent, sole charge position.

Start Date: Immediate Start

Days and Hours:

Term Time: Monday to Friday – 3:30pm -7:30pm

School holidays: 7:30am – 6:30pm

Salary: £1,416 Gross per month


  • Nursery Duties -  To include: menu planning and providing a varied, balanced diet with home-cooked meals, adding groceries to the shopping list, children’s laundry/bedding, keeping the children’s rooms and play areas tidy

  • Getting the children ready for school/nursery

  • Nursery and school pick up and drop off

  • Preparing school bags and uniform for the next day

  • Planning fun and stimulating age appropriate activities for the children, both at home and in the local area

  • Organising the children’s diary to include any groups they may attend and


  • Supporting eldest with homework (writing, recognising letters and numbers and phonics)

  • 1-1 quality time with the eldest each day after school for about an hour before picking the youngest up from nursery

  • Someone who can muck in with the household and doesn’t mind hanging out the odd wash for the parents or unloading the dishwasher


  • Minimum of two years childcare experience with children of similar ages

  • Childcare qualification would be a bonus

  • Fluent in English

  • Bonus if fluent in Spanish

  • Ofsted registered or willing to be


Role would suit:

This role would suit a nanny who is open, honest and respectful and who is able to maintain good communication with the parents and work in partnership with them. This role would also suit a nanny who is organised, positive, sociable and able to encourage and challenge the children with their development. The family use reasoning, the thinking step and reward charts as tools to aid with behaviour and would like a nanny who is happy to use similar methods.
